Image de couverture

On November 7, 2024, the URUNANI Africa Network, represented by the President of Sterna Africa — the network’s focal point in Ivory Coast — took part in a day dedicated to Education for Citizenship and International Solidarity (ECSI). The event was co-organized by the CRID at the French Development Agency as part of the Festival of Solidarities.

Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to discover and engage in a wide range of ECSI activitiesincluding forum theatre with CoTéAct, storytelling sessions with Arsanima, an interactive reverse conference, and radio programming with Making Waves.

The URUNANI Africa Network would like to warmly thank:

  • The speakers of the reverse conference on the rights of peoples and the rights of nature: Marine Calmet, Toba Yvonne, David Maenda Kithoko, and Cécile Delalande

  • The guests and contributors of the radio platform: Tiffen Le Gall, Marion Durand, Julie Lannoy, Karim Lemond, Solène Lavigne Delville, Agnès Moussion, Nayan Khiang, Papa Amadou Sarr, Benoît Hamon, Noura Elouardi, Anouch Toranian, and Mandioukette B. N'diaye

  • The civil society organizations that mobilized to host stands and activities

  • The partners from the MEAE and MEN, as well as Jean-Marc Pommeray, Béatrice Cheutin, Emmanuel Bailles, and Frédéric Cholé for their presence and support

  • The teams from the French Development Agency — including Stephanie Lanfranchi, Juliette Grundman, Valérie Huguenin, Caroline Castaing, Papa Amadou Sarr, Bertrand Walckenaer, and Matthieu Discour — as well as the teams from the CRID, including Noura Elouardi, Alice Duplay, Alice Galle, Kia Doumbia, and Hernán Alonso Melo Velasquez, for organizing this meaningful event.

The URUNANI Africa Network was also pleased to share the “ECSI Panorama in the Global South,” presented during this gathering co-organized at the AFD with the CRID. Initiated at the beginning of 2024 by the consultation group on Education for Citizenship and International Solidarity (ECSI), coordinated by the French Development Agency, this panorama explores the diversity of educational approaches connected to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in countries partnering with French cooperation initiatives and beyond.
