GLAA URUNANI TOUR – 1st Edition: A Collective Success

From January 15 to 20, 2026, the Urunani Network held the first edition of the GLAA URUNANI TOUR on the shores of the Aby Lagoon in N’Galwa (Adiaké), under the coordination of our national focal point, Sterna Africa Ivory Coast.

Five days of remarkable intensity brought together committed leaders and changemakers from Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, and Ivory Coast five countries united by one shared conviction: that solutions to African challenges must be built collectively, by Africans themselves.

Above all, the GLAA URUNANI TOUR is a space for authentic encounters between members of the network. Over the course of five days, participants took part in strategic workshops aimed at strengthening their approaches to Global Citizenship and Solidarity Education, constructive discussions on African leadership and South-South cooperation dynamics, and moments of shared learning between organizations that, despite different realities, are driven by common struggles and aspirations.

These exchanges highlighted the richness of the practices carried by each delegation, encouraged the sharing of perspectives and methods, and laid strong foundations for concrete collaborations between participating organizations.

The concept is based on a simple yet powerful idea: meeting network members where they are by rotating each edition through different member countries. This first edition confirmed the relevance and strength of this itinerant format. The quality of the discussions, the commitment of participants, and the collective energy that emerged from the gathering have only strengthened our confidence and ambition for future editions.

A heartfelt thank you to our focal point, Sterna Africa Ivory Coast, for the exemplary coordination of this edition, the warm hospitality, and the unwavering commitment that made this gathering possible. And thank you to every participant who made this GLAA a true GLAA in the deepest sense of the word: an authentic encounter between people who genuinely recognize and value one another.

The network is growing, the bonds are becoming stronger, and the movement continues to move forward. See you at the next edition.
