The Urunani Africa Network in Burkina Faso
The Urunani Africa Network continues to strengthen its commitment to a united and supportive Africa. From February 12 to 17, a delegation from the network is on a mission to Burkina Faso to reinforce ties with our local focal point, RéZas (Réseau Zoodo Action et Solidarité).
This mission marks an important step in the spirit of cooperation and fraternity that drives our organizations across the continent.
Represented by our focal points Mr. Mawaba Liebe FAWIYA (Togo) and Ms. Grace Naomi Kouame (Côte d’Ivoire), the Urunani Network actively participated in the 9th General Assembly of RéZas in Ziniaré. More than just an institutional gathering, the event became a meaningful moment of dialogue, exchange, and solidarity among actors committed to Africa’s development.
On this occasion, Ms. Grace Naomi Kouame delivered a powerful message of hope and unity:
“African youth must come together beyond divisions to build the future. Here in Burkina Faso, I feel at home, carried by the solidarity and human warmth that unite us.”

Beyond the official meetings, this mission also marks the official launch of preparations for the second edition of the WAKA project, scheduled for next September in Burkina Faso. Discussions held during the General Assembly helped define the major strategic directions for the upcoming edition, which aims to further strengthen social cohesion, civic engagement, and youth participation across Africa.
On the ground, the Togolese, Ivorian, and Burkinabè representatives are working hand in hand in a spirit of trust and collaboration. Through the sharing of experiences, collective reflection, and operational planning, this partnership demonstrates the strength of the bonds that unite members of the network.
At a time when the continent faces many challenges, this mission serves as a reminder that African solidarity remains a true source of hope and a key driving force for building a shared future based on mutual support, peace, and sustainable development.
We thank our representatives for this important mission in Burkina Faso.
